Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Hermínio Salazar got the match started through his kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Meimoa FC's zone, Horácio Domingos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Moniz came out of the goal and Horácio Domingos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 8th minute, Vítor Fonseca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 10th minute Amílcar Valente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severiano Peixoto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, CX Loulé's Egídio Sardinha got a free kick in the 11th minute. CX Loulé's defense didn't have a chance, in the 13th minute, when Amílcar Valente scored to the left of an out of position Severiano Peixoto, making the score, 1-0. Vítor Fonseca hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 23rd minute, Hermínio Salazar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Vítor Fonseca came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Meimoa FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vítor Fonseca couldn't finish the play. Hermínio Salazar struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Luís Moniz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CX Loulé. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by José Cabral during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 35th match minute, Meimoa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amílcar Valente to maneuver through the defense. 36 minutes into the match, CX Loulé's Vicente Corte-Real broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vítor Fonseca was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of CX Loulé booed when Meimoa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Cabral didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Hermínio Salazar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Humberto Queirós during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Hermínio Salazar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Moniz having to interfere. After 70 played minutes Meimoa FC got a freekick which was hit by Amílcar Valente. Meimoa FC's Luís Moniz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vicente Corte-Real in the 71st minute of play. If Hermínio Salazar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vítor Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Severiano Peixoto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 77 minutes into the match, Vítor Fonseca had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Severiano Peixoto. CX Loulé's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vítor Fonseca was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Severiano Peixoto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vítor Fonseca in the 80th minute of the match. Luís Moniz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hermínio Salazar, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute.
