The referee ignored Meimoa FC's protests and gave Humberto Queirós a yellow card for diving instead. Humberto Queirós hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Lucílio Sequeira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luís Moniz was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucílio Sequeira in the 7th minute of play forced Meimoa FC's goalkeeper Luís Moniz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. One of Lordello:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Meimoa FC:s goal. The goalkeeper, Edgar Vilarinho, was totally fooled by Meimoa FC's André Bessa, who 23 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 30th minute, Amílcar Valente fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Amílcar Valente managed to get in a good position for a shot. Meimoa FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Amílcar Valente was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgar Vilarinho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vítor Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Vilarinho having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Amílcar Valente took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Edgar Vilarinho to make any attempt to save it. In the 44th match minute, Meimoa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amílcar Valente to maneuver through the defense. If Vítor Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Amílcar Valente stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by Lordello's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. André Bessa was slow to take the kick. During this time Meimoa FC's players had a chance to rest. Amílcar Valente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Edgar Vilarinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vítor Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Aldo Coimbra fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lordello's protests and gave Aldo Coimbra a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Lordello getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Aldo Coimbra hit a great ball. In the 69th minute, André Bessa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 72nd minute, Amílcar Valente left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Meimoa FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Lordello's Edgar Vilarinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vítor Fonseca in the 76th minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Lucílio Sequeira fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. If Vítor Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vítor Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Edgar Vilarinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edgar Vilarinho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Amílcar Valente went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score.
