Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Celso Assis took the kick off in the first half of the match. Murilo Toscano charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Murilo Toscano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 5th minute of the match Jairo Pinto shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lisandro Cordeiro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Celso Assis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Éder Bacelar having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Diamantino Igrejas during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Diamantino Igrejas hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 17th minute Gonçalo Simões shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Éder Bacelar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Murilo Toscano was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 19 minutes had been played. In the 20th match minute, AZORES FUTEBOL CLUBE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Murilo Toscano to maneuver through the defense. João Raminhos who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Lisandro Cordeiro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Éder Bacelar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gonçalo Simões, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. When Gonçalo Simões got free in front of the goal in the 26th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Éder Bacelar was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in AZORES FUTEBOL CLUBE's zone, João Raminhos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lisandro Cordeiro came out of the goal and João Raminhos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 31st minute, one of SC do boi:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SC do boi. João Raminhos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Lisandro Cordeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 39 minutes into the match, AZORES FUTEBOL CLUBE's goalkeeper Lisandro Cordeiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by João Raminhos. AZORES FUTEBOL CLUBE's Gonçalo Simões got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when João Raminhos made the kick off in the second half. João Raminhos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lisandro Cordeiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. SC do boi's Éder Bacelar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jarbas Castilho in the 59th minute of play. When João Raminhos fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC do boi's protests and gave João Raminhos a yellow card for diving instead. In the 62nd match minute, SC do boi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Raminhos to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rd minute, Mário Brites hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 67 minutes into the match, AZORES FUTEBOL CLUBE's Gonçalo Simões sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Éder Bacelar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rodrigo Carmona kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. João Raminhos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Lisandro Cordeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mário Brites sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. João Raminhos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 88th match minute, AZORES FUTEBOL CLUBE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celso Assis to maneuver through the defense. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind AZORES FUTEBOL CLUBE's goalkeeper Lisandro Cordeiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. David Damásio's late challenge caught a AZORES FUTEBOL CLUBE's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. David Damásio helped the player get up and apologised. David Damásio hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. The AZORES FUTEBOL CLUBE supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing AZORES FUTEBOL CLUBE would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
