Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Paulo Sousa started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute Paulo Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amável Ruas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Guarda made an important save on a dangerous shot by André Tinoco in the 10th minute. André Tinoco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. André Tinoco's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Pedro Guarda firmly grabbed it by the left post. 20 minutes into the game, Valério Viana was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Corticinha's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Penteado the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 20th minute of the game. One of SC Corticinha:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Penteado:s goal. In the 22nd minute there was a penalty for Penteado. Adelino Pinto stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Amável Ruas. 0-1. 25 minutes into the game, João Viegas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Penteado's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Corticinha the free kick. In the 26th match minute, Penteado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Viegas to maneuver through the defense. Pedro Guarda acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 26th minute, took the ball on the long shot from José Zambujal. In the 27th match minute, Penteado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Viegas to maneuver through the defense. Amável Ruas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulo Sousa's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. In the 36th minute, Normando Coutinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paulo Sousa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Amável Ruas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Henrique Cunha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Penteado's Pedro Guarda got control of the ball when André Tinoco tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Paulo Sousa came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Penteado fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo Sousa couldn't finish the play. 48 minutes into the match, SC Corticinha's goal looked a bit too open when Henrique Cunha came free, but Amável Ruas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Penteado were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell David Menezes to make the kick off. When Penteado's Paulo Sousa in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Corticinha's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Henrique Cunha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Penteado's supporters rose to their feet, but Henrique Cunha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amável Ruas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in SC Corticinha's zone, Henrique Cunha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amável Ruas came out of the goal and Henrique Cunha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 68th minute, Normando Coutinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Paulo Sousa put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Amável Ruas. Henrique Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amável Ruas having to interfere. 77 minutes into the match, SC Corticinha's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Sousa came free, but Amável Ruas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Miguel Coimbra's late challenge caught a SC Corticinha's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Miguel Coimbra helped the player get up and apologised. 88 minutes into the match, Penteado's goal looked a bit too open when David Menezes came free, but Pedro Guarda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 91 minutes into the game, David Menezes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Pedro Guarda was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 96th minute, André Tinoco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Corticinha fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3.
