Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Eusébio Leão started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Domingos Sales showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Pinto in the 4th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Pedro Pinto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cardia FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Pinto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Domingos Sales breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eusébio Leão's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Domingos Sales read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eusébio Leão in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Domingos Sales saved SC Lobagueira from getting behind. 11 minutes into the game, Gabriel Neves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Lobagueira's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cardia FC the free kick. Bernardo Graça came free with the goalkeeper in the 14th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Fábio Garcia could save by the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eusébio Leão in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Domingos Sales prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eusébio Leão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Domingos Sales tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Pedro Pinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alípio Espírito Santo might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fábio Garcia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alípio Espírito Santo ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Miguel Esteves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cardia FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Miguel Esteves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Domingos Sales breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 39 minutes into the game, Alípio Espírito Santo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fábio Garcia. Alípio Espírito Santo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. If Eusébio Leão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Alípio Espírito Santo made the kick off in the second half. 70 minutes into the match, SC Lobagueira's goal looked a bit too open when Eusébio Leão came free, but Domingos Sales reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Cardia FC booed when SC Lobagueira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Neves didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 79 minutes, Porfírio Carneiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Lobagueira and the Cardia FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 80 played minutes SC Lobagueira got a freekick which was hit by Porfírio Carneiro. SC Lobagueira's Domingos Sales proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save SC Lobagueira from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Cardia FC getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Américo Vaz hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Cardia FC defense, Bernardo Graça kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fábio Garcia. The Cardia FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fábio Garcia should have stopped the shot. For all the effort they put into the match, the Cardia FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for SC Lobagueira.
