If Eusébio Saldanha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cândido Lage took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusébio Saldanha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 10th minute, Eusébio Saldanha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maurício Ribeiro during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Trancozelos booed when Cipreste FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maurício Ribeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eusébio Saldanha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 20th minute Eusébio Saldanha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cândido Lage saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eusébio Saldanha received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cândido Lage came out and tried to block the shot, but Eusébio Saldanha slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 22nd minute. 26 minutes into the match, Trancozelos's goalkeeper Cândido Lage had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maurício Ribeiro. Homero Amaro charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Homero Amaro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 26th minute, Homero Amaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maurício Ribeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cândido Lage having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rubim Aires during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 37th match minute, Cipreste FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rubim Aires to maneuver through the defense. In the 43rd minute Eusébio Saldanha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cândido Lage saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Homero Amaro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Silvério Águas came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Cipreste FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silvério Águas couldn't finish the play. Cândido Lage made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusébio Saldanha in the 55th minute of play. After some careless play in the Trancozelos defense, Eusébio Saldanha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cândido Lage. The Trancozelos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cândido Lage should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maurício Ribeiro in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cândido Lage prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 66 minutes, Germano Lousada mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Trancozelos and the Cipreste FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 66th minute, Germano Lousada hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eusébio Saldanha struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Cândido Lage stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maurício Ribeiro's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. Tarcísio lacerda charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tarcísio lacerda the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 85 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Trancozelos! In the 87th minute there was a penalty for Cipreste FC. Severino Menezes stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Cândido Lage. 3-0. In the 91stth minute of the game Maurício Ribeiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Trancozelos's Cândido Lage was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Silvério Águas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cândido Lage having to interfere. Cipreste FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
