Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. André Matos started the match with the kick off. Ricardo Sousa was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 3 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in SC Agostas fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 3rd minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 5 minutes, Cipreste FC's Severino Menezes got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Filipe Nascimento. SC Agostas's Filipe Nascimento proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save SC Agostas from getting a goal against them. Filipe Nascimento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusébio Saldanha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Vasco Nogueira managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Agostas's supporters rose to their feet, but Vasco Nogueira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nivaldo Fonseca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 24 minutes into the match, SC Agostas's Vasco Nogueira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nivaldo Fonseca narrowly saved just below the crossbar. António Mota took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nivaldo Fonseca. Nivaldo Fonseca dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Vasco Nogueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nivaldo Fonseca having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vasco Nogueira in the 31st minute of play forced Cipreste FC's goalkeeper Nivaldo Fonseca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If António Mota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When SC Agostas's António Mota in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cipreste FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 34th match minute, Cipreste FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Graciano Taveira to maneuver through the defense. When Vasco Nogueira came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the SC Agostas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vasco Nogueira couldn't finish the play. António Mota's late challenge caught a Cipreste FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. António Mota helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to SC Agostas getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. António Mota hit a great ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

A murmur of surprise went through the audience when Cipreste FC's Silvério Águas after having done a couple of nice dribblings in the 48th minute of the game fired away a shot to his disappointment passed just outside the right post. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eusébio Saldanha was the one to do the kick off. Filipe Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurício Ribeiro in the 53rd minute of play. André Nunes hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute, Maurício Ribeiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Graciano Taveira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Filipe Nascimento was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. If Eusébio Saldanha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Maurício Ribeiro scored 2-1 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Filipe Nascimento, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Filipe Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurício Ribeiro in the 77th minute of play. 79 minutes into the game, Severino Menezes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cipreste FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Agostas the free kick. Nuno Alves placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! After a defensive mix-up in Cipreste FC's zone, Vasco Nogueira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nivaldo Fonseca came out of the goal and Vasco Nogueira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 91st minute Maurício Ribeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filipe Nascimento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Many of SC Agostas's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. SC Agostas may have spent more time on the ball, but Cipreste FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
