Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Leal Godinho got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Asseico's goalkeeper Tomé Vilarinho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Leal Godinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diogo Ramos having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Januário Macedo in the 5th minute of play forced SC Balancho's goalkeeper Diogo Ramos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Afonso Amaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Afonso Amaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomé Vilarinho having to interfere. SC Balancho's Afonso Amaro got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. SC Balancho's Joaquim Leal got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 28th minute Joaquim Leal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomé Vilarinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Asseico's zone, Afonso Amaro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tomé Vilarinho came out of the goal and Afonso Amaro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. SC Balancho's Joaquim Leal got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tomé Vilarinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquim Leal in the 33rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Gustavo Moniz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Asseico's supporters rose to their feet, but Gustavo Moniz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Diogo Ramos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tomé Vilarinho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Afonso Amaro in the 37th minute. Afonso Amaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Tomé Vilarinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Asseico's Tomé Vilarinho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Asseico from getting a goal against them. Joaquim Leal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Afonso Amaro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 47thth minute tested the skills of Tomé Vilarinho when he managed to save the team from getting behind. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joaquim Leal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Afonso Amaro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 56th minute, Januário Macedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SC Balancho's Xavier Castro couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 56th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Asseico. After 58 minutes, Inácio Eiró mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Asseico and the SC Balancho players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of SC Balancho booed when Asseico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inácio Eiró didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leal Godinho in the 66th minute of play forced SC Balancho's goalkeeper Diogo Ramos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Afonso Amaro came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the SC Balancho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Afonso Amaro couldn't finish the play. Tomé Vilarinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Leal in the 71st minute of the match. Joaquim Leal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomé Vilarinho having to interfere.
