Tomé Vilarinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abel Andrade, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Tomé Vilarinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abel Andrade in the 7th minute of the match. In the 10th minute, Isidoro Calado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 12th minute Vicente Jesus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomé Vilarinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 14th minute, Leal Godinho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gustavo Moniz charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gustavo Moniz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. SC Cantomil's Rodrigo Patrício couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 21st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Asseico. After 22 played minutes Asseico got a freekick which was hit by Januário Macedo. In the 23rd minute Vicente Jesus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomé Vilarinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leal Godinho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vivaldo Porto was a little too slow when Leal Godinho got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 32nd minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 37th minute, Abel Andrade ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tomé Vilarinho was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vicente Jesus in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tomé Vilarinho saved Asseico from getting behind. In the 46th minute, Vicente Jesus made a precise shot to the right of Tomé Vilarinho. Asseico's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Asseico's Tomé Vilarinho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Asseico from getting a goal against them. Vicente Jesus succeeded in the game's 55th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-3. In the 59th minute, Asseico's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Vicente Jesus fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Tomé Vilarinho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abel Andrade in the 60th minute. Vivaldo Porto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leal Godinho in the 64th minute of play. After 71 played minutes Asseico got a freekick which was hit by Laurentino Rebelo. Rodrigo Patrício missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 73 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Tomé Vilarinho right hand side. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Leal Godinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Asseico's supporters rose to their feet, but Leal Godinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vivaldo Porto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 86th minute Armando Assunção shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomé Vilarinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomé Vilarinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vicente Jesus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vicente Jesus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomé Vilarinho having to interfere. If Abel Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
