When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fábio Viana made a kick off. Tarrafal F.C's Ilídio Esteves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bento Amorim in the 62nd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Fábio Viana took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Daniel Luz to make any attempt to save it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joaquim Gomes in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ilídio Esteves saved Tarrafal F.C from getting behind. When Fábio Viana came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Tarrafal F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fábio Viana couldn't finish the play. Bento Amorim scored 1-1 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ilídio Esteves, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ilídio Esteves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bento Amorim's shot from short distance in the 91st minute.
