Vicente Quental hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Goujoim's Paulo Amorim got a free kick in the 20th minute. Goujoim's Joel Aleixo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Goujoim from getting a goal against them. With his leg Joel Aleixo managed to avoid a goal in the 25thth minute, when Abrema FC's Osvaldo Rebelo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Alberto Queirós's late challenge caught a Abrema FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alberto Queirós helped the player get up and apologised. In the 26th minute, Alberto Queirós hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Abrema FC's goalkeeper Fabiano Macedo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fabiano Macedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Amorim in the 31st minute of the match. Amílcar Resende received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Fabiano Macedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Paulo Amorim ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fabiano Macedo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Fabiano Macedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Amorim in the 47th minute of the match. After the first half Goujoim were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Goujoim's Joel Aleixo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvestre Taveira in the 65th minute of play. In the 65th minute, Álvaro Maia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Osvaldo Rebelo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joel Aleixo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvestre Taveira in the 69th minute of play.
