After 4 played minutes Guilhabreu FC got a freekick which was hit by Elias Fragoso. Roberto Gusmão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabiano Caires, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. 8 minutes into the match, Elias Fragoso dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Roberto Gusmão, 1-0. Fabiano Caires struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Roberto Gusmão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guilhabreu FC. In the 17th match minute, Desportivo Seixo do Côa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernando Carvalheira to maneuver through the defense. Desportivo Seixo do Côa's Roberto Gusmão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Desportivo Seixo do Côa from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Guilhabreu FC booed when Desportivo Seixo do Côa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomás Figueiredo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Desportivo Seixo do Côa's goalkeeper Roberto Gusmão had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zacarias Correia. Elias Fragoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roberto Gusmão having to interfere. Desportivo Seixo do Côa's Roberto Gusmão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerónimo Antunes in the 28th minute of play. 30 minutes into the game, Carlos Melo threw the ball into play from the sideline. Guilhabreu FC's Fabiano Caires quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 31st minute Elias Fragoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto Gusmão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guilhabreu FC's Zacarias Correia got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Elias Fragoso in the 36thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Roberto Gusmão, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ilídio Calheiros kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Guilhabreu FC defense, Jorge Lopes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Idalécio Dias. The Guilhabreu FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Idalécio Dias should have stopped the shot. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lúcio Quintanilha to make the kick off. Fabiano Caires took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Roberto Gusmão. Roberto Gusmão dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Roberto Gusmão had in the 57thth minute some difficulties stopping Ilídio Calheiros's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. A collision led to Guilhabreu FC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Elias Fragoso hit a great ball. After 65 played minutes, Guilhabreu FC's Ilídio Calheiros shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Roberto Gusmão came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Guilhabreu FC reached it. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Zacarias Correia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guilhabreu FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Zacarias Correia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roberto Gusmão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fabiano Caires fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roberto Gusmão having to interfere. If Jerónimo Antunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 81 minutes, Fabiano Caires managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guilhabreu FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabiano Caires was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 84 played minutes Desportivo Seixo do Côa got a freekick which was hit by João Peralta. Hermenegildo Saraiva made in the 91st minute of the game a quick throw-in and Kevin Bessa immediately put the ball in play. 94 minutes into the game, Jerónimo Antunes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Roberto Gusmão was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. There was no doubt that Guilhabreu FC were the better team. Guilhabreu FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
