Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) In the 4th minute, Defensor Sporting's Severiano Matos seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Severiano Matos the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Defensor Sporting protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Severiano Matos had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 3 minutes into the game, one of Defensor Sporting:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Jorge Brás received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Nuno Póvoas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Álvaro Guarda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Defensor Sporting's Alípio Severo got a free kick in the 17th minute. Avelino Fraga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Álvaro Tavares having to interfere. Jorge Brás fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Póvoas having to interfere. Alípio Severo struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Álvaro Tavares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Defensor Sporting. After 47 played minutes Alburitel FC got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Neto. 49 minutes into the match, Alburitel FC's goalkeeper Álvaro Tavares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Avelino Fraga. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Alípio Severo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Álvaro Tavares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Jorge Brás had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Álvaro Tavares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Avelino Fraga in the 59th minute of play. Cristóvão Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Póvoas having to interfere. When Cristóvão Almeida came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Alburitel FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristóvão Almeida couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Alburitel FC's Gabriel Figueiredo got a free kick in the 70th minute. If Jorge Brás had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulo Neto struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Nuno Póvoas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. Nuno Póvoas was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jorge Brás showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 85 minute of play. In the 89th match minute, Defensor Sporting was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaime Quinaz to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Cristóvão Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alburitel FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristóvão Almeida was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nuno Póvoas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Brás in the 95th minute of play forced Defensor Sporting's goalkeeper Nuno Póvoas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Jorge Brás came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Alburitel FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jorge Brás couldn't finish the play. Alburitel FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
