In the 4th minute, Valdemar Barbosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Bandeira in the 9th minute of play forced FC Ranger's goalkeeper Severiano Sobral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Antero Franco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aquilino Borba in the 11th minute of the match. 12 minutes into the match, Pereiros's goal looked a bit too open when Tobias Barros came free, but Antero Franco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jorge Vilalobos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Severiano Sobral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Aquilino Borba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tobias Barros in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Antero Franco saved Pereiros from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Bandeira in the 28th minute of play forced FC Ranger's goalkeeper Severiano Sobral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, FC Ranger's Severiano Sobral got control of the ball when Jorge Vilalobos tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Pereiros getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Jordão Domingues hit a great ball. After 34 played minutes, FC Ranger's Lucas Malafaia shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Antero Franco came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Ranger reached it. Antero Franco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdemar Barbosa in the 36th minute of play. 38 minutes in the game, João Bandeira fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Severiano Sobral having to interfere. Aquilino Borba struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Antero Franco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Ranger. Jorge Vilalobos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severiano Sobral having to interfere. In the 46th minute, Aquilino Borba got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
