Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. João Bandeira started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute, one of SC Carregueiro:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SC Carregueiro. In the 7th minute there was a penalty for Pereiros. Máximo Araújo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving João Brás. 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in SC Carregueiro's zone, Jorge Vilalobos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Brás came out of the goal and Jorge Vilalobos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carlos Sousa hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. João Bandeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Brás having to interfere. Luís Tavares hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in SC Carregueiro's zone, João Bandeira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Brás came out of the goal and João Bandeira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that João Bandeira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but João Brás was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. If Jorge Vilalobos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jorge Vilalobos in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck João Brás prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Pereiros booed when SC Carregueiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacinto Campos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th match minute, SC Carregueiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Tavares to maneuver through the defense. Antero Franco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Antunes in the 35th minute of play. 47 minutes into the game, one of Pereiros:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 48th minute there was a penalty for SC Carregueiro. Vicente Moniz stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Antero Franco. 1-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hugo Antunes to strike the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes, Jacinto Campos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Carregueiro and the Pereiros players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, SC Carregueiro's Jacinto Campos got a free kick in the 54th minute. João Brás made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jorge Vilalobos in the 59th minute. João Bandeira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 68th match minute, Pereiros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvério Quirino to maneuver through the defense. Pereiros's Antero Franco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adelino Tavares in the 70th minute of play. When Jorge Vilalobos came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Pereiros fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jorge Vilalobos couldn't finish the play. After 85 minutes of play, SC Carregueiro's Hugo Antunes made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Antero Franco was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jorge Vilalobos was extremely unlucky when he, in the 89th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. If Rodrigo Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SC Carregueiro fans cheered their team off the field, for while Pereiros had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
