The supporters of Seda FC booed when Aventosa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gil Castro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sebastião Cunha came free with the goalkeeper in the 29th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Luís Faro could save by the left post. After 64 played minutes Seda FC got a freekick which was hit by Teodoro Macedo. After a defensive mix-up in Seda FC's zone, Fernando Anjos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marco Caldas came out of the goal and Fernando Anjos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. José Amaro was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 68th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 69th minute Amadeu Pacheco suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Alexandre Novais fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Seda FC's protests and gave Alexandre Novais a yellow card for diving instead. Alexandre Novais hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. 71 minutes into the game, Pedro Amorim was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aventosa FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Seda FC the free kick. The audience was convinced that Germano Estrada's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luís Faro was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. In the 74th minute, one of Aventosa FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Aventosa FC. The referee gave Seda FC a penalty, 76 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Pedro Ferraz, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Aventosa FC's Luís Faro. 1-0. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 85 minutes, Gil Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aventosa FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gil Castro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aventosa FC's André Gomes got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. André Gomes took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marco Caldas. Marco Caldas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Aventosa FC's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Seda FC had won, even though Aventosa FC had held more of the ball.
