Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Alderiz's Severino Resende started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Severino Resende in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sebastião Valverde prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 6th minute, Severino Resende left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Alderiz fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Jorge Falcão made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Damião Rodrigues sent off a good shot on target. Sebastião Valverde didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Renato Maia went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Jorge Falcão made an important save on a dangerous shot by Damião Rodrigues in the 24th minute. Sebastião Valverde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severino Resende, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sebastião Valverde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leal Lages, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 34th match minute, Alderiz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leal Lages to maneuver through the defense. 40 minutes into the game, Quintino Franco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mouriz Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alderiz the free kick. In the 40th match minute, Mouriz Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Quintino Franco to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Mouriz Futebol Clube's Tobias Casado got a free kick in the 43rd minute. If Damião Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Alderiz were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Cristóvão Nunes made the kick off in the second half. 58 minutes into the game, Severino Resende recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sebastião Valverde. Severino Resende showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. After a rather tough play, Mouriz Futebol Clube's Damião Rodrigues got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Jorge Falcão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damião Rodrigues in the 74th minute of play. Renato Maia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Renato Maia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. Alderiz's Severino Resende got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Alderiz supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Alderiz would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
