Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Severino Madeira got the match started through his kick off. António Trindade kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Ivo Palhares hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, Romao's Herberto Resende threw himself towards the right post 12 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luís Machado, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Cláudio Neto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herberto Resende having to interfere. Cláudio Neto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Herberto Resende tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th match minute, Capinha FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amável Andrade to maneuver through the defense. If Santiago Matias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luís Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Herberto Resende tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santiago Matias in the 40th minute of play forced Romao's goalkeeper Vítor Pires to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Herberto Resende acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 44th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Fábio Moreira. Severino Madeira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luís Machado stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gastão Passos hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cláudio Neto in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Herberto Resende prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amável Andrade during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Herberto Resende showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Machado, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Cláudio Neto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Herberto Resende having to make a save. Luís Machado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. João Faro charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed João Faro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Capinha FC booed when Romao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Faro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 83rd minute, Cláudio Neto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 87th minute, Luís Machado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 96 minutes, Santiago Matias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Capinha FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Santiago Matias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
