With a little luck, Amoris Potestate's Xavier Esteves got control of the ball when Santiago Matias tried to sneak it across the goal line. Herberto Resende stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Durval Serpa's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 20 minutes into the game, when Hermenegildo Toscano put in a rough tackle. 19 minutes into the game, one of Amoris Potestate:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Capinha FC a penalty, 22 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Anselmo Malta, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Amoris Potestate's Xavier Esteves. 1-0. After a rather tough play, Amoris Potestate's Bruno Caires got a free kick in the 29th minute. Amoris Potestate's Inácio Pimenta got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Inácio Pimenta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carlos Raminhos during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 39 played minutes Capinha FC got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Raminhos.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Severino Madeira made a kick off. Xavier Esteves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santiago Matias in the 52nd minute of the match. Severino Madeira took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Xavier Esteves. Amoris Potestate's supporters rose to their feet, but Sandro Lessa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Herberto Resende breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 65th minute, Inácio Pimenta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sandro Lessa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herberto Resende having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Capinha FC's Amável Andrade got a free kick in the 72nd minute. When Patrício Casado fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Amoris Potestate's protests and gave Patrício Casado a yellow card for diving instead.
