SC Arrancada's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Silveira FC the free kick. The supporters of Silveira FC booed when SC Arrancada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rogério Faria didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hermínio Souto struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Henrique Alves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Silveira FC. After 24 played minutes, Silveira FC's Gervásio Passos shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Henrique Alves came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Silveira FC reached it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hermínio Souto in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Henrique Alves saved SC Arrancada from getting behind. The supporters of Silveira FC booed when SC Arrancada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afonso Melo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 35 minutes into the match, SC Arrancada's goal looked a bit too open when Laurentino Ruas came free, but Henrique Alves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the SC Arrancada defense, Hermínio Souto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Henrique Alves. The SC Arrancada fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Henrique Alves should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre Leitão in the 45th minute of play forced SC Arrancada's goalkeeper Henrique Alves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Humberto Cunha made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, SC Arrancada's goalkeeper Henrique Alves had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anselmo Brites. After 52 minutes, Lucas Coelho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Arrancada and the Silveira FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, SC Arrancada's Lucas Coelho got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Anselmo Brites succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-2 in the 53rd playminute. After 55 played minutes SC Arrancada got a freekick which was hit by Rogério Faria. Anselmo Brites scored 0-3 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Henrique Alves, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Through an outstanding action, after 60 minutes, Henrique Alves successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Miguel Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Silveira FC's zone, Humberto Cunha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hipólito Neiva came out of the goal and Humberto Cunha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hermínio Souto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Henrique Alves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hermínio Souto, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. 75 minutes into the match, SC Arrancada's Humberto Cunha sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hipólito Neiva narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Anselmo Brites had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anselmo Brites got free with Henrique Alves in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hermínio Souto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC Arrancada's Henrique Alves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hermínio Souto in the 92nd minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, SC Arrancada's goalkeeper Henrique Alves had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anselmo Brites. In the 97thth minute of the game Hermínio Souto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Arrancada's Henrique Alves was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Silveira FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
