The referee felt a red card was in order, 2 minutes into the game, when Rodolfo Vilhena put in a rough tackle. After having played for 4 minutes, Inácio Estrada managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Entrevinhas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Inácio Estrada was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cavaleiro FC's Rui Araújo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hamilton Bulhosa in the 6th minute of play. Rui Araújo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ademar Granja went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Ricardo Linhares got a throw-in 13 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Salvador Caetano. Ricardo Linhares made in the 16th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Salvador Caetano. Amílcar Álvares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Adélio Couto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 21 minutes, Salvador Caetano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Entrevinhas and the Cavaleiro FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Salvador Caetano hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Rui Araújo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salvador Caetano in the 28th minute of play. In the 31st minute, Salvador Caetano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rui Araújo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Rui Araújo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hamilton Bulhosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ricardo Linhares made in the 43rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Salvador Caetano however managed to control. 46 minutes into the game, Ademar Granja cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Rui Araújo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Cavaleiro FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Entrevinhas were winning 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ademar Granja made a kick off. Domingos Ribas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adélio Couto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Adélio Couto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domingos Ribas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Domingos Ribas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cavaleiro FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Domingos Ribas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adélio Couto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Entrevinhas's Adélio Couto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domingos Ribas in the 61st minute of play. A throw-in in the 63rd minute of the game was made by Ricardo Linhares with Ademar Granja as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 64 minutes into the match, Entrevinhas's goal looked a bit too open when Domingos Ribas came free, but Adélio Couto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Domingos Ribas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Domingos Ribas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adélio Couto having to interfere. Adélio Couto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Domingos Ribas went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. With a little luck, Cavaleiro FC's Rui Araújo got control of the ball when Hamilton Bulhosa tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Entrevinhas's zone, Domingos Ribas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adélio Couto came out of the goal and Domingos Ribas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adélio Couto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domingos Ribas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ricardo Linhares made in the 85th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Amadeu Sacadura. Domingos Ribas might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adélio Couto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Domingos Ribas ran back to his position shaking his head. Albérico Mourão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Adélio Couto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Entrevinhas players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
