Romão Miranda's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 22ndth minute, Lúcio Garcia skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 26 minutes into the match, Cândido Faria notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Benfica FC's Jorge Águas. Jorge Águas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. André Flores charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed André Flores the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. André Flores kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. André Nunes might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jorge Águas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. André Nunes ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 36th minute, André Nunes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Silvério Ribeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Benfica FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Silvério Ribeiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lúcio Garcia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Benfica FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SC Mazes were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Silvério Ribeiro made a kick off. After having played for 57 minutes, Silvério Ribeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Benfica FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silvério Ribeiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 61 minutes into the match, Benfica FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cândido Faria came free, but Jorge Águas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Romão Miranda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 77 played minutes SC Mazes got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Anjos. After 82 played minutes Benfica FC got a freekick which was hit by Quintino Zambujal. The crowd rose to their feet as Cândido Faria kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jorge Águas. That made the score 0-2 in the 86 minute of play. Emílio Viegas's late challenge caught a Benfica FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emílio Viegas helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, SC Mazes's Emílio Viegas got a free kick in the 89th minute. In the 91st minute, Romão Miranda made a precise shot to the right of Lúcio Garcia. SC Mazes's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. When Benfica FC's Silvério Ribeiro in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Mazes's goalie prevented a goal. SC Mazes's Lúcio Garcia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romão Miranda in the 100th minute of play.
