SC Canizes's Daniel Martins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pascoal Peralta in the 13th minute of play. After 16 played minutes Stig FC got a freekick which was hit by Benedito Ramos. Basílio Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Diamantino Paixão made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luís Soares in the 19th minute. Daniel Martins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pascoal Peralta in the 20th minute of play. Basílio Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diamantino Paixão having to interfere. Daniel Martins was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Diamantino Paixão made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Luís Soares sent off a good shot on target.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pascoal Peralta stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by SC Canizes's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rubim Menezes was slow to take the kick. During this time Stig FC's players had a chance to rest. Rodrigo Domingues tried in the 54th minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Daniel Martins a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 0-3. Luís Soares struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Diamantino Paixão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Canizes. In the 62nd minute Luís Soares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diamantino Paixão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Martins made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Diogo Ferrão sent off a good shot on target. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Diogo Ferrão took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Daniel Martins to make any attempt to save it. With a little luck, SC Canizes's Daniel Martins got control of the ball when Diogo Ferrão tried to sneak it across the goal line.
