Zebro FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Filipe Nogueira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Sérgio Brito took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 10th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mário Severo. SC Covilha's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 14 minutes into the match, Carlos Dantas dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Mário Severo, 1-1. If Marco Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marco Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mário Severo having to interfere. In the 22nd minute Carlos Dantas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mário Severo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 26th minute, Marco Barros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Silvano Brás managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Covilha's supporters rose to their feet, but Silvano Brás was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Daniel Almeida breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mário Severo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Dantas in the 33rd minute of the match. Carlos Dantas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mário Severo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. In the 39th match minute, SC Covilha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Aragão to maneuver through the defense. 40 minutes into the match, Zebro FC's Afonso Dantas broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 43 minutes into the match, Carlos Dantas dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Mário Severo, 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Filipe Nogueira made a kick off. Marco Barros might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mário Severo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marco Barros ran back to his position shaking his head. Mário Severo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Dantas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 78th minute Filipe Nogueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Marco Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zebro FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marco Barros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mário Severo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zebro FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
