Américo Pacheco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Óscar Pinto went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Artur Magalhães struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Américo Pacheco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Valqueira. The audience was convinced that Emílio Moreira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amadeu Lima was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. In the 33rd match minute, RMMB FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adolfo Sá to maneuver through the defense. Emílio Moreira in the 45thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Amadeu Lima, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After the first half Valqueira were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Américo Pacheco was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. RMMB FC's Emílio Moreira got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Artur Magalhães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of RMMB FC booed when Valqueira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artur Magalhães didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 70th minute Fernando Gueifão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeu Lima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Alexandre Vieira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emílio Moreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute.
