After having played for 5 minutes, Bento Figueiredo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boque's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bento Figueiredo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 9th minute Bento Figueiredo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastião Jesus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12thth minute of the game Bento Figueiredo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bertelo FC's Sebastião Jesus was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Bertelo FC's Sebastião Jesus got control of the ball when Ricardo Setúbal tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Bertelo FC's Zarco Eiró got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 26th minute Bernardo Patrício shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Campos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Vasco Salgueiro fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bertelo FC's protests and gave Vasco Salgueiro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 34th play minute Ricardo Setúbal came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Sebastião Jesus. 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ricardo Setúbal got free with Sebastião Jesus in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Bertelo FC's zone, Bento Figueiredo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sebastião Jesus came out of the goal and Bento Figueiredo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bertelo FC's Sebastião Jesus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bento Figueiredo in the 44th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alberto Semedo during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 44th minute, Alberto Semedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bento Figueiredo made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Bento Figueiredo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bernardo Patrício was extremely unlucky when he, in the 54th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Ricardo Setúbal took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sebastião Jesus. Sebastião Jesus dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Salvador Durães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Bertelo FC's Januário Peseiro got a free kick in the 68th minute. Bernardo Patrício fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Campos having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ricardo Setúbal in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sebastião Jesus prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bernardo Patrício struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Manuel Campos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bertelo FC. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Bento Figueiredo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boque's supporters rose to their feet, but Bento Figueiredo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sebastião Jesus breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bernardo Patrício fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Campos having to interfere. Sebastião Jesus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo Setúbal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Boque booed when Bertelo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgar Gueifão didn't get a good kick on the ball.
