Rafael Macena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Tavares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A hard shot 9 in the game by Catarino Setúbal from a close distance when the talented Rafael Macena managed to make a qualified save. Coelheira FC's players were relieved. Catarino Setúbal's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 11thth minute, Rafael Macena skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alcino Silveira in the 22nd minute of play forced Neiva FC's goalkeeper Amílcar Santarém to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alcino Silveira scored 0-1 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Amílcar Santarém, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Neiva FC defense, Alcino Silveira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amílcar Santarém. The Neiva FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amílcar Santarém should have stopped the shot. Amílcar Santarém took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alcino Silveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Basílio Mourinho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when José Tavares stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Catarino Setúbal in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rafael Macena prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Neiva FC fans' excitement grew in the 52nd match minute when Neiva FC's Catarino Setúbal looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Neiva FC's José Tavares got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Catarino Setúbal struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Rafael Macena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Neiva FC. 63 minutes into the match, Neiva FC's Catarino Setúbal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rafael Macena narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 68th minute of the match Coelheira FC got a corner. Neiva FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Júlio Castelo Branco ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Júlio Castelo Branco got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Amílcar Santarém quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Catarino Setúbal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 73rd match minute, Coelheira FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Valido to maneuver through the defense. José Tavares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Rafael Macena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Coelheira FC's zone, José Tavares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafael Macena came out of the goal and José Tavares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Catarino Setúbal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. José Tavares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th minute José Tavares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Macena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Coelheira FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Neiva FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
