Eloy Montay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 14 played minutes Eloy Montay rounded BENNFICA's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. Eloy Montay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Delfim Veiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sílvio Gonçalves having to interfere. If Eloy Montay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in BENNFICA's zone, Eloy Montay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sílvio Gonçalves came out of the goal and Eloy Montay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. BENNFICA's Baltasar Valadares got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Leonardo Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eloy Montay could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Sílvio Gonçalves made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Tojeirinha's zone, Tiago Guterres stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emílio Maia came out of the goal and Tiago Guterres tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
If Eloy Montay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mário Viveiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emílio Maia having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Eloy Montay managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tojeirinha's supporters rose to their feet, but Eloy Montay was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sílvio Gonçalves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Eloy Montay came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Tojeirinha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eloy Montay couldn't finish the play. In the 84th minute Eloy Montay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Gonçalves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Delfim Veiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eloy Montay might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sílvio Gonçalves. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
