But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Enzo Balsemão couldn't finish the play. Rui Marques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 17 minutes into the game, Duarte Rangel lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Eduardo Azevedo. Murilo Pereira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nuno Mota, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Duarte Rangel in the 45th minute of play forced SC Carapetosa's goalkeeper Eduardo Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. André Faro was the one to do the kick off. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, André Faro took a quick shot and it went in 4-2 without a chance for Murilo Pereira to make any attempt to save it. José Quirino charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed José Quirino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 83rd minute, José Quirino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eduardo Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enzo Balsemão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Duarte Rangel succeeded in the game's 89th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 5-2. Eduardo Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Duarte Rangel in the 93rd minute of the match. Eduardo Azevedo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Duarte Rangel's shot from short distance in the 97th minute. SC Paires's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
