With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arkadiusz Dziechciowski in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg David Faria saved SC Umbria from getting behind. After 26 minutes of play, SC Umbria's Manuel Magalhães made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Oliveira Lisboa was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Jorge Faria managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Umbria's supporters rose to their feet, but Jorge Faria was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oliveira Lisboa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. SC Umbria's Tomás Vieira got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 33 minutes into the match, Grupo Desportivo do Topo's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Magalhães came free, but Oliveira Lisboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th match minute, SC Umbria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lourenço Gonçalves to maneuver through the defense. 38 minutes in the game Sebastião Baptista after having made a beautiful turn got a great opportunity to score and fired away a shot that went just to the left past a relieved David Faria. A very good opportunity. Joaquim Carneiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Grupo Desportivo do Topo's zone, Tomás Vieira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oliveira Lisboa came out of the goal and Tomás Vieira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arkadiusz Dziechciowski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Xavier Santos charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomás Vieira got free with Oliveira Lisboa in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Grupo Desportivo do Topo's Oliveira Lisboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Grupo Desportivo do Topo from getting a goal against them. Manuel Magalhães received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. The supporters of SC Umbria booed when Grupo Desportivo do Topo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basílio Reis didn't get a good kick on the ball. David Faria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Carneiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Tomás Vieira was extremely unlucky when he, in the 90th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 95th minute, Joaquim Carneiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. SC Umbria had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
