If Armando Bessa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 8th minute, Paulo Amaral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. José Mota was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 9th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 12 minutes into the match, Ginetes FC's goalkeeper Gaspar Machado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nuno Figueiredo. After 13 minutes, Paulo Amaral mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ginetes FC and the Goncalves FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 13th match minute, Ginetes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Amaral to maneuver through the defense. An unexpected shot in the 16th minute by Armando Bessa got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Rodrigo Macedo hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Ginetes FC's Gaspar Machado got control of the ball when Nuno Figueiredo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Duarte Pires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 25th minute Joaquim Domingues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaime Garcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The long shot by Gonçalo Lisboa in the 29th minute really tested Gaspar Machado's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After some careless play in the Ginetes FC defense, Nuno Figueiredo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gaspar Machado. The Ginetes FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gaspar Machado should have stopped the shot. Gaspar Machado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nuno Figueiredo in the 34th minute of play. Armando Bessa struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Gaspar Machado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Goncalves FC. Jaime Garcia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquim Domingues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The wind increased when Joaquim Domingues made the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Ginetes FC defense, Armando Bessa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gaspar Machado. The Ginetes FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gaspar Machado should have stopped the shot. In the 61st minute Joaquim Domingues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaime Garcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joaquim Domingues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jaime Garcia having to interfere. 66 minutes into the game, Duarte Pires recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jaime Garcia. Duarte Pires showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. In the 70th minute Joaquim Domingues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaime Garcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nuno Figueiredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaspar Machado having to interfere. Gaspar Machado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Bessa in the 76th minute of the match. Goncalves FC's Jaime Garcia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquim Domingues in the 80th minute of play. In the 81st match minute, Goncalves FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexandre Esteves to maneuver through the defense. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ginetes FC's goalkeeper Gaspar Machado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 86th minute, Luís Teixeira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jaime Garcia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Domingues, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. When Ginetes FC's Joaquim Domingues in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Goncalves FC's goalie prevented a goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
