The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ginetes FC's goalkeeper Gaspar Machado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Joaquim Carneiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Gaspar Machado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joaquim Carneiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gaspar Machado having to make a save. Gil Mendes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 15th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gaspar Machado. Ginetes FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Joaquim Domingues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Grupo Desportivo do Topo's Simão Santarém got a free kick in the 29th minute. In the 32nd minute, Grupo Desportivo do Topo's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Joaquim Domingues fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Duarte Pires during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Duarte Pires kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The Ginetes FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Grupo Desportivo do Topo were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joaquim Domingues to make the kick off. Ginetes FC's Gaspar Machado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Ginetes FC from getting a goal against them. If Arkadiusz Dziechciowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Grupo Desportivo do Topo's Oliveira Lisboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duarte Pires in the 61st minute of play. In the 64th minute, Joaquim Domingues made a precise shot to the right of Oliveira Lisboa. Grupo Desportivo do Topo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Duarte Pires fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oliveira Lisboa having to interfere. Oliveira Lisboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Duarte Pires, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 79th minute, Joaquim Carneiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gaspar Machado was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Simão Santarém kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Grupo Desportivo do Topo's Oliveira Lisboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duarte Pires in the 93rd minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, Grupo Desportivo do Topo's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim Domingues came free, but Oliveira Lisboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 96 played minutes Grupo Desportivo do Topo got a freekick which was hit by Bento Brás. Grupo Desportivo do Topo's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
