Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nélson Matos in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tomás Carmona prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nélson Matos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomás Carmona having to interfere. In the 15th match minute, Fondevila was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Pestana to maneuver through the defense. SLB Reservas's Carlos Salazar couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 15th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Fondevila. Filipe Cruz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomás Carmona having to interfere. Tomás Carmona took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nélson Matos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Nélson Matos came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the SLB Reservas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nélson Matos couldn't finish the play. In the 30th minute, SLB Reservas's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jorge Cavaco fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Fernando Lameiras charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fernando Lameiras the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Fernando Lameiras hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. When SLB Reservas's Nélson Matos in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Caetano Benevides stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fondevila's goalkeeper Tomás Carmona, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Valentim Souto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caetano Benevides, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Cavaco in the 66th minute of play forced SLB Reservas's goalkeeper Valentim Souto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 69 minutes, David Pestana mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fondevila and the SLB Reservas players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Fondevila's David Pestana got a free kick in the 69th minute. With a little luck, Fondevila's Tomás Carmona got control of the ball when Filipe Cruz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Valentim Souto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fondevila. Fernando Lameiras got his second yellow card in the match during the 87th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Fondevila booed when SLB Reservas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernando Lameiras didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jorge Cavaco took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valentim Souto. Valentim Souto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Jorge Cavaco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
