After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Rogério Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Caldeiro's supporters rose to their feet, but Rogério Fonseca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Normando Diegues breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 21 minutes, Diogo Valente managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Caldeiro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diogo Valente was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had been going on for 25 minutes, SC Caldeiro's Eusébio Assis got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Normando Diegues. Joaquim Figueiredo kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. After 37 minutes, Diogo Valente made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Portista FC's Normando Diegues tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Portista FC's Raimundo Esparteiro got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Diogo Valente stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in SC Caldeiro's zone, Belchior Lemos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Afonso Valente came out of the goal and Belchior Lemos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Rogério Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rdth minute of the game Diogo Valente who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Portista FC's Normando Diegues was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Raimundo Esparteiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Portista FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Raimundo Esparteiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. After 80 minutes, Belchior Lemos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Portista FC and the SC Caldeiro players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Portista FC getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Belchior Lemos hit a great ball. When Raimundo Esparteiro came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Portista FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raimundo Esparteiro couldn't finish the play. An unexpected shot in the 88th minute by Belchior Lemos got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Normando Diegues stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Diogo Valente's shot from short distance in the 95th minute.
