In the 7th match minute, Águias Negras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiago Morais to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jacinto Aguiar got free with Pedro Almeida in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 16th minute Estrela de Albergaria FC were awarded a corner. Amílcar Castro went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Estrela de Albergaria FC's corner Amílcar Castro fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Pedro Almeida quite easily take care of the ball. Antero Medeiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Almeida having to interfere. After 27 played minutes Estrela de Albergaria FC got a freekick which was hit by Bento Nogueira. Águias Negras's Tiago Morais got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Acar Tüzer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Antero Medeiros made a kick off. Acar Tüzer's late challenge caught a Estrela de Albergaria FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Acar Tüzer helped the player get up and apologised. In the 53rd minute, Acar Tüzer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Tiago Morais came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Águias Negras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tiago Morais couldn't finish the play. Águias Negras's Tiago Morais got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Estrela de Albergaria FC's Bento Nogueira got a free kick in the 65th minute. If Luís Cabral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Gil Costa fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Águias Negras's protests and gave Gil Costa a yellow card for diving instead. After a defensive mix-up in Águias Negras's zone, Antero Medeiros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Almeida came out of the goal and Antero Medeiros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Tiago Morais came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Águias Negras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tiago Morais couldn't finish the play. Estrela de Albergaria FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Álvaro Reis 93 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-1. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Águias Negras walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
