Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Lourenço Ramos made the kick off which started today's match. After having played for 3 minutes, Cristiano Paiva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Vargos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristiano Paiva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Abel Henriques charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abel Henriques the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Abel Henriques hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. The supporters of SC Vargos booed when Mei FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Resende didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 7 played minutes Mei FC got a freekick which was hit by Luís Resende. In the 8th match minute, Mei FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Resende to maneuver through the defense. Simão Dantas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amílcar Vieira in the 11th minute of play. With a little luck, Mei FC's Rui Borba got control of the ball when Álvaro Abreu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Álvaro Abreu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Rui Borba made a huge save. Lourenço Ramos might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Simão Dantas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lourenço Ramos ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 37th minute Lourenço Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simão Dantas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Álvaro Abreu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rui Borba read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. After 41 minutes of play, SC Vargos's Álvaro Abreu made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rui Borba was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 44 played minutes Mei FC got a freekick which was hit by Amadeu Brás.

Amílcar Vieira struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Simão Dantas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mei FC. The audience was convinced that André Gaspar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rui Borba was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling André Gaspar in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rui Borba prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 61st minute, Lourenço Ramos fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Simão Dantas, passed just outside the right post. After 73 played minutes, Mei FC's Amadeu Brás shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Simão Dantas came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mei FC reached it. Álvaro Abreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After recieving a nice pass, Mei FC's Jacinto Guarda tried to score from far away in the 93rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar.
