After having played for 16 minutes, Alberto Anjos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aboboreira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Anjos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rúben Costa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Gueifão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alberto Anjos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rúben Costa having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, José Gueifão managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aboboreira's supporters rose to their feet, but José Gueifão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rúben Costa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rúben Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Anjos in the 26th minute of play. If Alberto Anjos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The referee ignored Aboboreira's protests and gave Cristiano Cabral a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Aboboreira getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Cristiano Cabral hit a great ball. Lourenço Marques kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Al-Gharb United's Eusébio Sabrosa tried to score from far away in the 63rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Aboboreira's Cristiano Delgado got a free kick in the 69th minute. 77 minutes into the match, Al-Gharb United's goalkeeper Rúben Costa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lourenço Marques. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, José Gueifão took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Rúben Costa to make any attempt to save it. Alberto Anjos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Aboboreira's Cristiano Cabral got his second yellow card of the match in the 84th minute. The referee ordered Cristiano Cabral off the ground. After 85 played minutes Aboboreira got a freekick which was hit by Cristiano Cabral.
