After 27 played minutes Fresta got a freekick which was hit by Sílvio Mansilha. If Cândido Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 33rd match minute, Fresta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Corte-Real to maneuver through the defense. When Alípio Quinaz came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Fresta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alípio Quinaz couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Alípio Quinaz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fresta's supporters rose to their feet, but Alípio Quinaz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fernando Vieira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 74th minute, Fernando Teixeira reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fabrício Gusmão. The goal made the score 2-3. 79 minutes into the match, Fresta's goal looked a bit too open when David Moreira came free, but Fabrício Gusmão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of SC Foupana booed when Fresta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sérgio Dias didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Cândido Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
