Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Fernando Teixeira made the kick off and thus started the match. After 4 minutes, Cândido Fonseca made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Gesteira's Pedro Costa tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 6 minutes into the game, Cândido Fonseca was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Foupana's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gesteira the free kick. In the 6th minute, Cândido Fonseca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 12th minute, Daniel Moniz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fernando Vieira. The goal made the score 1-1. Gesteira's Pedro Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Moreira in the 19th minute of play. Cândido Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Pedro Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 26 minutes into the match, Gesteira's goal looked a bit too open when Cândido Fonseca came free, but Pedro Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute, Luís Guarda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Daniel Moniz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Fernando Teixeira charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fernando Teixeira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 37th match minute, SC Foupana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernando Teixeira to maneuver through the defense. Pedro Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cândido Fonseca in the 39th minute of play. If Daniel Moniz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luís Guarda who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 46thth minute tested the skills of Fernando Vieira when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 48th minute of the match Gustavo Martins sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fernando Vieira skillfully saved the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Moniz to make the kick off. In the 55th minute, SC Foupana's Fernando Teixeira dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. 60 minutes into the match, SC Foupana's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Guarda came free, but Fernando Vieira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cândido Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 65 played minutes Gesteira got a freekick which was hit by Catarino Almeida. Luís Guarda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Vieira having to interfere. SC Foupana's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernando Teixeira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After having played for 93 minutes, Fernando Teixeira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Foupana's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernando Teixeira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gesteira's Pedro Costa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Gesteira from getting a goal against them. When Luís Guarda came up free with the goalie in the 100th minute, the Gesteira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Guarda couldn't finish the play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
