SC Boivaes's Jacinto Pedroso got a good chance for a goal in the 2nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jacinto Pedroso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norberto Ruas having to interfere. Norberto Ruas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacinto Pedroso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danilo Leitão in the 10th minute of play forced SC Boivaes's goalkeeper Gustavo Teixeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Vilas's Marco Caires got a free kick in the 11th minute. Tomás Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norberto Ruas having to interfere. Jacinto Pedroso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Norberto Ruas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 19th minute, Tomás Nascimento left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Boivaes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Norberto Ruas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacinto Pedroso, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Paulo Brandão kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Norberto Ruas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basílio Machado in the 26th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Danilo Leitão during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 28th match minute, Vilas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Danilo Leitão to maneuver through the defense. In the 30th minute, Tomás Nascimento reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Norberto Ruas. The goal made the score 2-0. Tomás Guarda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 37th minute, Tomás Nascimento got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tomás Guarda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gustavo Teixeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danilo Leitão in the 41st minute of play. After having played for 43 minutes, Tomás Nascimento managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Boivaes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomás Nascimento was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Norberto Ruas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Boivaes. Tomás Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Norberto Ruas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Danilo Leitão came free in the 70th minute and tried to tip the ball over Gustavo Teixeira, but to the joy of SC Boivaes's supporters the ball went over. Marco Caires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Tomás Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Norberto Ruas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Nascimento in the 83rd minute of play. Tomás Guarda blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Norberto Ruas having to make a save. Norberto Ruas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sandro Vieira in the 95th minute of the match. If Tomás Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SC Boivaes's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
