When Adriano Nunes came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the World X FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adriano Nunes couldn't finish the play. After 7 played minutes SC Ramos got a freekick which was hit by Eusébio Dantas. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Silvério Mourato during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, World X FC's Silvério Mourato got a free kick in the 12th minute. After having played for 14 minutes, Miguel Assunção managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Ramos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miguel Assunção was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 22 played minutes, SC Ramos's Alexandre Baptista shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Antero Maciel came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SC Ramos reached it. Alexandre Baptista took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Antero Maciel. World X FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Assunção in the 27th minute of play forced World X FC's goalkeeper Antero Maciel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Albertino Coimbra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 36th minute, Miguel Assunção got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Albertino Coimbra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albertino Coimbra in the 40th minute of play forced World X FC's goalkeeper Antero Maciel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Miguel Assunção had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Miguel Assunção to strike the kick off in the second half. Adriano Nunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogério Silva having to interfere. 60 minutes into the match, SC Ramos's goal looked a bit too open when Adriano Nunes came free, but Rogério Silva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Miguel Assunção had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albertino Coimbra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Silvano Figueiredo's late challenge caught a SC Ramos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Silvano Figueiredo helped the player get up and apologised. Silvano Figueiredo hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. After having played for 76 minutes, Miguel Assunção managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After 77 played minutes World X FC got a freekick which was hit by Silvério Mourato. Antero Maciel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Assunção, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. World X FC's Antero Maciel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Assunção in the 90th minute of play. In the 95th minute Miguel Assunção shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antero Maciel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
