Jaime Rios fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogério Silva having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Rios in the 13th minute of play forced SC Ramos's goalkeeper Rogério Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Miguel Assunção took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Mário Ruas to make any attempt to save it. In the 27thth minute of the game Jaime Rios who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Ramos's Rogério Silva was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Albertino Coimbra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mário Ruas having to interfere. Albertino Coimbra struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Mário Ruas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Ramos. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Reginaldo Fragoso made a kick off. Albertino Coimbra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Albertino Coimbra in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mário Ruas saved SC Alfarazes from getting behind. 82 minutes into the match, SC Ramos's goal looked a bit too open when Reginaldo Fragoso came free, but Rogério Silva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of SC Ramos booed when SC Alfarazes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dimas Barroso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Miguel Assunção's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mário Ruas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. After having played for 92 minutes, Jaime Rios managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Alfarazes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jaime Rios was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 94th minute, Reginaldo Fragoso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cristiano Esteves charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cristiano Esteves the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 96th match minute, SC Ramos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristiano Esteves to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristóvão Casado in the 98th minute of play forced SC Ramos's goalkeeper Rogério Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SC Ramos's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
