Rafael Viegas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hélder Amaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. With a little luck, Silveiros's Mário Sabrosa got control of the ball when Duarte Amaro tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Duarte Amaro made a kick off. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Silveiros's goalkeeper Mário Sabrosa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Duarte Amaro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Radio Universidad Coimbra's supporters rose to their feet, but Duarte Amaro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mário Sabrosa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Silveiros succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Radio Universidad Coimbra had controlled the match.
