The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Simão Machado in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adalberto Corte-Real prevented the ball from getting in the gole. João Santarém took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yuri Mendes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 11thth minute of the game Simão Machado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but S.E.R.U. Leceia's Adalberto Corte-Real was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Adalberto Corte-Real showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simão Machado in the 13th minute of the match. Manuel Aguiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manuel Aguiar might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adalberto Corte-Real. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Manuel Aguiar ran back to his position shaking his head. Adalberto Corte-Real showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Aguiar, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 22nd minute, Duarte Matias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Palhaca FC's João Santarém proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Palhaca FC from getting a goal against them. 27 minutes into the match, S.E.R.U. Leceia's goal looked a bit too open when Simão Machado came free, but Adalberto Corte-Real reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute, S.E.R.U. Leceia's Flávio Mota ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind João Santarém. João Santarém yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simão Machado in the 39th minute of play forced S.E.R.U. Leceia's goalkeeper Adalberto Corte-Real to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 40 minutes into the game, Xavier Candal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. S.E.R.U. Leceia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palhaca FC the free kick. Manuel Aguiar struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Adalberto Corte-Real didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palhaca FC. Alexandrino Veiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. João Santarém tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. João Santarém showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yuri Mendes in the 48th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Simão Machado made a kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Palhaca FC's goal looked a bit too open when Yuri Mendes came free, but João Santarém reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yuri Mendes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. João Santarém tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 62nd minute, Raul Esteves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Palhaca FC's João Santarém played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Graciano Salvado in the 63rd minute of play. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind S.E.R.U. Leceia's goalkeeper Adalberto Corte-Real, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 68 played minutes S.E.R.U. Leceia got a freekick which was hit by Xavier Candal. Manuel Aguiar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Adalberto Corte-Real made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Simão Machado took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Adalberto Corte-Real to make any attempt to save it. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind S.E.R.U. Leceia's goalkeeper Adalberto Corte-Real, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 81 minutes, Simão Machado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palhaca FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Simão Machado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. João Santarém showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandrino Veiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. When Simão Moutinho fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Palhaca FC's protests and gave Simão Moutinho a yellow card for diving instead. Simão Moutinho kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. A collision led to Palhaca FC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Amadeu Pinho hit a great ball. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
