Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Lucas Carvalho started the match with the kick off. Vicente Carneiro in the 4thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Vicente Fagundes, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Reinaldo Amorim charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Reinaldo Amorim the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to SC Vieiros getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Reinaldo Amorim hit a great ball. Vicente Fagundes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Carvalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Palheirao's zone, Gil Severo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adolfo Garcia came out of the goal and Gil Severo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. SC Vieiros's Vicente Fagundes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Carvalho in the 38th minute of play. Vicente Carneiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Fagundes having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Reinaldo Amorim made a kick off. In the 54th match minute, SC Vieiros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dércio Castanheira to maneuver through the defense. Cristiano Cruz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Palheirao's Vicente Carneiro got a free kick in the 81st minute. Cristiano Cruz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Garcia having to interfere. Adolfo Garcia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reinaldo Amorim, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Cristiano Cruz managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Vieiros's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristiano Cruz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adolfo Garcia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The SC Vieiros supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SC Vieiros would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
