José Delgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reinaldo Amorim in the 39th minute of the match. Palmeiral's José Delgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reinaldo Amorim in the 44th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Reinaldo Amorim stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cristiano Cruz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but José Delgado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. Diogo Lisboa's late challenge caught a SC Vieiros's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
