Basílio Castro didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Palheirao's Adolfo Garcia got control of the ball when Jorge Morais tried to sneak it across the goal line. Paulo Dias, 31 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Jorge Morais got in the 39th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Adolfo Garcia handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Palheirao's Adolfo Garcia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cândido Caires in the 40th minute of play. Vicente Carneiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bruno Igrejas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

If Basílio Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Bairro Team Fc's goalkeeper Bruno Igrejas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Carvalho in the 96th minute of play forced Bairro Team Fc's goalkeeper Bruno Igrejas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
