João Calheiros was out of position in the 30 minute of play, and Luís Falcão capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Luís Falcão really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. The audience was convinced that Luís Falcão's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but João Calheiros was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. João Calheiros was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Luís Falcão showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 38 minute of play.

If Isidro Coelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 5-0 became the score in the 80th minute when Belchior Vigário elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar.
