After 3 played minutes Fonduras got a freekick which was hit by Alexandre Lima. A hard shot 5 in the game by Petter Karlberg from a close distance when the talented Paulo Fonseca managed to make a qualified save. Fonduras's players were relieved. With a little luck, Fonduras's Paulo Fonseca got control of the ball when Petter Karlberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in F.C.Dragon Team's zone, Júlio Neto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Carvalho came out of the goal and Júlio Neto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carlos Carvalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Júlio Neto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlos Carvalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Júlio Neto, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. If Daniel Moura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fonduras's Paulo Fonseca proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Fonduras from getting a goal against them. Carlos Carvalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basílio Gaspar, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. After 28 played minutes Fonduras got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Lisboa. After 30th play minutes Daniel Moura shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Paulo Fonseca and just under the crossbar into goal. Carlos Carvalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Lisboa in the 34th minute of the match. In the 35th minute Basílio Gaspar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Carvalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Cândido Delgado in the 40th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by F.C.Dragon Team's Oliveira Nogueira. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Viriato Nunes during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 46th minute Cândido Delgado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Carvalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulo Fonseca made an important save on a dangerous shot by Petter Karlberg in the 48th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Júlio Neto was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Petter Karlberg in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paulo Fonseca saved Fonduras from getting behind. In the 61st minute Cândido Delgado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Carvalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Cândido Araújo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Moura scored 2-0 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Paulo Fonseca, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 70 minutes into the game, Fonduras's Pedro Lisboa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carlos Carvalho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Daniel Moura recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Moura struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Paulo Fonseca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for F.C.Dragon Team. Paulo Fonseca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petter Karlberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. 82 minutes into the match, F.C.Dragon Team's goalkeeper Carlos Carvalho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cândido Araújo. The supporters of Fonduras booed when F.C.Dragon Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oliveira Nogueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, F.C.Dragon Team's Daniel Moura got a free kick in the 86th minute. Carlos Carvalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cândido Delgado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 91 minutes into the match, Fonduras's goal looked a bit too open when Petter Karlberg came free, but Paulo Fonseca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulo Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Moura in the 92nd minute of play. Carlos Carvalho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cândido Araújo in the 95th minute. 96 minutes into the match, F.C.Dragon Team's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Lisboa came free, but Carlos Carvalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
