Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Eduardo Resende took the kick off in the first half of the match. Milhazes's Jorge Amaral got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eduardo Resende struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Tiago Rocha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Milhazes. 1-0 became the score in the 7th minute when Eduardo Resende elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 10th minute, Joaquim Marques hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Catarino Lopes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damião Faria in the 14th minute of play. SC Roda's Tiago Rocha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduardo Resende in the 20th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 29th minute by Jorge Amaral got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The supporters of Milhazes booed when SC Roda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henrique Bettencourt didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Milhazes getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Jorge Amaral hit a great ball. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Milhazes's goalkeeper Catarino Lopes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joaquim Marques during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 39th minute, Joaquim Marques hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jorge Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiago Rocha having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Henrique Bettencourt to make the kick off. Damião Faria could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Catarino Lopes made a huge save. Tiago Rocha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduardo Resende, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Damião Faria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Catarino Lopes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 64 minutes of play, Milhazes's Jorge Amaral made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tiago Rocha was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 77 played minutes SC Roda got a freekick which was hit by Salvador Mourinho. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eduardo Resende in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tiago Rocha saved SC Roda from getting behind. If Eduardo Resende had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jorge Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiago Rocha having to interfere.
